Any kind of stencil will do, from butterflies and flowers to tribal and Celtic knot-work. Step 2 Fill in the stencil with your choice of colored ink pens. Make sure to press down lightly so as not to rip the paper and put several layers of ink within the gaps of the stencil to fully create the design. Step 3 Rub the clear deodorant bar, or petroleum jelly, on the area of skin where you want to apply the ink design. Make sure the sticky substance is thoroughly rubbed into the skin, leaving it slightly moist. Step 4 Press the design side of the paper firmly against the moistened skin. Hold it in place and gently smooth over it with your free hand. Do not let the paper slip, or it will smear the ink. Step 5 Remove the tracing paper from the skin, carefully peeling it from one corner. Do not touch the area for at least 10 minutes while the moistened area and transferred ink dries.
